Lucky Points Farming with Lockpicks
Where is the best place to farm lucky points by using lockpicks?
There needs to be a lot of chests close together. Ideally, I would like the keys for the chests to cost over 600g each so that as I open the chests with lockpicks, I am also making progress on my treasure hunter title track. Another option is one or two chests that always spawn near the entrance to a town or outpost so that I can continuously open them and then map back to town and do it all over again. Anyway, does anyone have any ideas on this? Thanks! |

Canthan chests are 450gp for a key chests, so they don't count toward the Treasure Hunter title track.
When I had 100 chests for my next level in this track I used the Whitman's Folly chest run. Leave from Port Sledge, go East and make a U-Turn path. Will spawn 2-3 chests per run. I did this with my SS Necro and a full hero/hench party very quickly. Shiverpeak chests, so they count to the title, and only Grawl and Azure Shadows. Bring Fall Back and/or Charge to speed things up. Very nice chest running guide here: http://www.guildwarsguru.com/forum/s...php?t=10166973 First map in that link is the path for the run I am talking about. I think if I can run it with my SS necro (and mostly I was running only stopping to fight if I thought I had to) I think you can do it with any char. class. |

I use the Mirror of Lyss. Load up with running skills, grab a bunch of monk heroes/hench and Devona (for Charge!), head out the west exit of Grand Court. Go over the little bridge and straight out the path, going around the big hill on your right. Don't bother trying to kill anything, just run to the chests when you see them. You'll end up near the entrance to Holdings of Chokhin I think it's called. I always get from 0-3 chests and it only takes a minute or so. I've got numerous cool inscribables from those chests too.
Good luck! |

Thanks for the input all.
Okay, I have run several of the chest runs suggested above. Thank you. I now find that I am breaking way too many lock picks, so want to find a chest run with lots of low end chests close together so I can farm them strictly for lucky points. After I raise my lucky level some, maybe I will go back to farming the 600g+ chests to help with my treasure hunter title tracks. Anyway, I am looking for areas with large concentrations of the following chests: Ascalonian, Steel, Shing Jea, and Istani. |
